Chula Vista Grade School in San Diego
The success of Bonita Country Day School depends on its students achieving an excellent academic foundation and reasonable independence in the learning process. Bonita Country Day School is committed to the development of an academic course of study that broadens each student’s perspectives, enriches students’ lives, and teaches them how to think, not what to think.
Our broad and balanced program is taught in small classes where the individual child can be nurtured as well as challenged in a rigorous academic setting. Class projects are designed to spark imagination, promote intellectual curiosity and foster shared discovery. We encourage independence as well as collaborative work, and we recognize the importance of respecting oneself and the rights of others
Our core curriculum focuses on reading, language arts, and math. Foreign language, science and social studies, geography and study skills complete the academics. The arts are integrated into our curriculum, weaving together creative endeavors and other types of learning. Integration throughout the curriculum makes learning fun, ties class work to the students’ real world and develops abilities that last a lifetime.
