Private Student Application Procedure
Complete the Application for Admission and return it with the $75.00 application fee to the school office, either in person or by mailing to:

Recommendations
On the back page of the Application for Admission, you are asked to give two references. At least one reference * should be a school teacher or administrator. Upon receipt of your child’s application, the school will send the listed references a special form, which they will be asked to complete and return to the school. *Not applicable to those applying to the Montessori Program.
Entrance Evaluation
Once your child’s application has been submitted, you will be contacted by the school office and given the time and date of your child’s entrance evaluation. The evaluation is done to determine if the applicant would be a good match with the school program. The school’s principal, Mrs. Catanzaro, will want to meet both you and your child at this time.
Transcripts
By signing the student Application for Admission, you have given Bonita Country Day School permission to request academic records from your child’s current school. Bonita Country Day School will request previous report cards and test scores from your child’s previous school for evaluation. Your child’s cumulative records will be requested once your child has been enrolled at Bonita Country Day School.
Evaluation
Prospective students are evaluated on the following criteria:
- Individual ability and personality
- Parent’s educational philosophy
- Recommendations
- Past school performance
- Entrance Exam
Notification
After the interview and evaluation has been completed, the admissions staff will make a decision regarding admission for your child. You will be notified of this decision by mail.
Enrollment
If your child is accepted for enrollment at Bonita Country Day School, you will receive a Statement of Intent to Register, (SIR) along with information regarding various tuition payment plans. If you wish to enroll your child, you will have two weeks to return the Statement of Intent to Register.
