Bonita Country Day School Parents Association
Parent involvement exists to further the school’s vision. Communication with teachers, attending conferences and through volunteer work within the school, parents are important to the fundamental philosophy of the school. Private schools’ parent groups are not like a public school PTA charged with “defending parents’ rights.” Parent involvement at a private school is one of support. Your child’s enrollment in the school automatically makes you a member of this select group of parents who share common values and concerns.
Parent participation is an essential component of the school’s general philosophy and vision.
Parents are expected to take an active part in their child’s education. This can be done by checking over your child’s homework every night, communicating with your child’s teacher and volunteering through the office for school activities. There is an array of opportunities, which makes it easy to match each parent with an appropriate volunteer activity.
